
Hotel Policy:
Can I cancel my room at anytime?
-The Iron Horse Hotel has a 72 cancellation policy. If for some reason your travel plans change, you have 72 hours prior to the time of arrival in order to cancel your room. Otherwise all standard charges will apply to the card on file.
What is the procedure on Gift Certificates?
-The use of gift certificates must be stated prior to arrival or booking your stay at the hotel. All gift certificates are valid until expiration. Gift Certificates unless purchased from the Iron Horse Hotel may only be used one per visit. Black out dates may apply!
How am I charged for my room?
-A credit card number is taken during the initial reservation.
However any and all fees associated with the card on file will not be charged until your arrival and during check in.
Is there a minimum age to reserve a hotel room?

Yes, the minimum age to reserve a hotel room is 21 years old.
Can the Iron Horse Hotel supply a cot for my room when I travel with children?
-We will do everything possible to accomodate your request. Please make any special requests during the booking of your reservations. We have limited amount of blow up matresses.
Can I smoke in my room?
-Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere in the Iron Horse Hotel & Restaurant. Smoking in doors will result in a $250 cleaning fee added to your bill.
Restaurant Policy:
Do I have to make a Reservation?
-Reservations are not always required, but highly recommended in order to guarantee seating in a timely manner
Is gratuity applied to my check?
-A standard gratuity of 18% shall be added to all parties of five or more.
Are we allowed to split checks for big groups?
-Split checks will NOT be allowed on groups of six or more. If groups are unprepared to make one total payment toward the bill, then $1.00 will be assessed for each split ticket.
Is there a smoking section in the restaurant?
-The Iron Horse Restaurant is a smoke free facility and we ask that all patrons please help us preserve the integrity of the building.
Do I have to guarantee my final head count?
-For all special events, ( weddings, rehearsal dinners, receptions, reunions, or any other events over 12 people and/or requiring a special pre-planned menu
) must have a final head count at least 10 days prior to the event. Any persons arriving in addition to the agreed upon number will be charged extra. Any persons failing to arrive will still be held liable for appropriate costs.
Is the Blackwater Depot Available for use?
-The Blackwater Depot may be used to host an event provided it is booked through the Blackwater City Hall in conjunction with the Iron Horse Hotel & Restaurant.
May we bring alcohol into the Iron Horse Restaurant?
-Alcohol brought in from outside sources is strictly prohibited for consumption in the Iron Horse Restaurant.
May we bring other food into the Iron Horse Restaurant?
- All food and meals consumed in the Iron Horse Restaurant, must be prepared by the Iron Horse Restaurant Chefs. Cakes maybe brought in for special occasions, but must first be cleared by the management at the Iron Horse Restaurant & may be only shared with the guests related to the party.
Reservations are highly recommended but not always required. Reservations will ALWAYS take first priority on evenings in which seating is limited. Please keep in mind that the Iron Horse Hotel & Restaurant, RCW & Company, LLC & BJM LLC, reserve the right to refuse services to anyone at anytime.
